This February, Lenard has extended the certifications in the combination of two of its fabrics from the XISPAL RS range: the 825 fabric and the 816 fabric. From this month on, the combination of these two fabrics is in compliance with the standard IEC 61482-1-2: 2014, which covers Class 2 Electric arc protection (7kA).
The test was carried out taking into account the combination of the two fabrics: the outer fabric was reference 825 XISPAL RS, perfect for making jackets, and the interior fabric was the 816 XISPAL RS, ideal for making knitted shirts. After the Class 2 Electric arc 7kA protection test, the thermal curve recorded did not exceed the stoll curve, confirming that the user will never suffer 2nd or 3rd degree burns during an exposure to a 7kA electric arc.
Lenard, with the combination of the two fabrics, has fulfilled its objective: to comply with the 7kA requirements with a total grammage of 410 gr/m² (250 gr/m² for the outer layer and 160gr/m² for the inner layer).
